Kaamps7 on Sylt

Today we are visiting the currently most popular island among Germans: Sylt.
Sun, beach, and sea await us at Kaamps7, the "Sunset Location," which is considered the westernmost restaurant in Sylt. Tim, the manager of Kaamps7, is already expecting us to show us his restaurant and the beach kiosk.

Tim can look back on 25 years of experience in gastronomy and hospitality. He has traveled the world, both professionally and privately. Ultimately, he and his family made the decision that there is no more beautiful spot on earth than the west of Sylt.

"We cannot offer cocktails to 500-700 people. Let's stick with gin and tonic, that's the best we can do. Well, then you came along. And now we have cocktails, seven in total."

Approximately 1000 guests are served daily at the beach kiosk and about 500-700 people in the restaurant by Tim and his team. They place great importance on professionalism and high-quality products.

This led Tim to try out a three-digit number of pre-mix cocktails throughout his career in order to offer drinks to his guests. However, the conclusion was always the same:

"Too sweet, too much alcohol, too little alcohol, too little flavor. At some point, we reached the point: We can't offer cocktails to 500-700 people. Let's stick with gin and tonic, that's the best we can do. Well, then you came along. And now we have cocktails, seven in total."

Tim tells us that kukki Cocktail has now become an integral part of the daily offering and is being very well received.

On June 15th, the official start of the summer season at Kaamps7 took place. Tim and his team are looking forward to the upcoming rush during the summer holidays and to welcoming visitors again after the lockdown and so on.

Unfortunately, we have to set off again to visit more friends. Even though saying goodbye has been particularly difficult this time. After all, we were in one of the most beautiful spots on earth.
