Restaurant
Kaamps7 on Sylt
Today, we’re visiting what is probably currently Germany’s trendiest island: Sylt.
Sun, beach, and sea await us at Kaamps7, the “Sunset Location,” which is considered Sylt’s westernmost dining establishment. Tim, the managing director of Kaamps7, is already waiting for us to show us his restaurant and the beach kiosk.
Tim can now look back on 25 years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry. He has traveled all over the world, both professionally and privately. Ultimately, however, he and his family decided that there is no more beautiful place on Earth than western Sylt.
Kaamps7 Beach Bar on Sylt
Tim – Operations Manager
"We can’t offer cocktails to 500–700 people. Let’s stick with gin and tonics; that’s the most we can manage. Well, then you came along. And now we have cocktails—seven of them, to be exact."

Tim and his team serve approximately 1,000 guests at the beach kiosk and around 500–700 people in the restaurant every day. Throughout, they place great importance on professionalism and high-quality products.
That is also how Tim came to try a three-digit number of pre-mixed cocktails over the course of his career, in order to offer drinks to his guests. However, the conclusion was always the same:
“Too sweet, too much alcohol, too little alcohol, not enough flavor. At some point, we reached the conclusion: We can’t offer cocktails to 500–700 people. Let’s stick with gin and tonic; that’s as good as it gets. Well, and then you came along. And now we have cocktails—seven of them.”

Tim tells us that kukki Cocktail has now become a permanent part of the daily menu and is being very well received.
June 15 officially marked the start of the summer season at Kaamps7. Tim and his team are looking forward to the influx of guests during the summer holidays and to welcoming visitors again after lockdown & co.
Unfortunately, we have to set off again to visit more friends, even though saying goodbye was particularly difficult this time. After all, we had been in one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
