Continue shopping“Awesome, finally warm beer!” – probably no one has ever said that. And that’s exactly why the crazy idea of developing a Cocktail with ice directly in the bottle came about in 2014 – at the time, still a completely absurd notion for many people.

What started with nothing quickly became a real project. Sepp and Saif founded kukki GmbH, and Andy joined a few months later—together, they began developing and launching the product.
The first few years were entirely focused on product development: How do you put ice into a bottle without it bursting when frozen? How can a Cocktail taste good without preservatives—yet still have a long shelf life? It was only in 2020 that our product was ready to be launched on a large scale. Since 2022, we have also been producing in our own facility in the Wustermark industrial park near Berlin.
While many initially thought it could never work, Saif and Andy set off with a car full of kukki bottles & kukki Toaster units—heading straight to the first restaurants, beer gardens, and beach clubs. Today, they stand at the helm of a company built from nothing that now generates several million euros in annual revenue.
With more than 12,000 kukki toasters placed on the market, thousands of partner supermarkets in Germany alone, and nearly 35 permanent employees, we have scaled our growth sustainably. What once began as a bold idea is now a patented process with more than 7,000 active B2B customers and production that is attracting attention across Europe. kukki proves that the craziest ideas are often the best—if you believe in them and put your heart and soul into making them happen.
Standing perfectly straight in rows, the empty bottles are ready to begin their journey to your freezer. A crane moves them from a pallet onto the conveyor belt. The bottles are then labeled with the kukki label. Only the real thing comes with the igloo 😉
From there, they go through a rinsing cycle for a final cleaning of the inside of the bottles. Gripper arms guide them upside down in a circular motion over the water system. Some of the machines look like a fairground carousel. Fun in production, fun when enjoying them!
In the next step, the cylindrical ice is carefully portioned into the bottles. Our production process is precisely timed because the ice needs to retain its shape and must not melt. Fresh ingredients such as mint leaves or lime pieces are then added by hand. The cocktail bottles quickly move on to be filled. They ascend a carousel-like platform and return to the conveyor belt filled with kukki cocktail mix made from high-quality spirits, liqueurs, and fruit juices. They are sealed with crown caps by machine.
After that comes some serious manpower—our team packs the kukki cocktails into boxes by hand and transports them to the cooling system. There, the high-quality ready-to-drink cocktails are cooled down to -18°C and frozen. As soon as they are frozen, they are ready for delivery.
We are so proud of the development of kukki Cocktails. From our parents’ farm workshop to such a large-scale operation. A great deal of passion, sweat, perhaps even a tear or two, abandoned plans, and successful implementations have gone into our production machines.

Development
Back then, the ice was still crushed with a hammer so that it would fit into the bottles—today, it is compressed extremely firmly into a cylindrical shape using a patented process.

Production
Like everything else from kukki Cocktail, our innovative ice is produced by us directly on-site and filled into the bottles.

Function in the bottle
Thanks to our special and unique process, we can offer cocktails that stay cold longer and are less watery. Our ice remains frozen for well over half an hour, even on the sunniest summer day.
Our cylindrical ice cubes are produced and frozen under high pressure in a patented process. This is how the ice cubes are placed in the bottles and then deep-frozen. This process allows our kukki cocktails to be deep-frozen without the bottles bursting.
When stored correctly, our kukkis have a shelf life of at least 12 months. You can find the best-before date on the bottle. Make sure to keep the cold chain intact. After delivery or your purchase, store the kukkis in your freezer right away.
kukkis are carefully made and bottled, partly by hand and with lots of love, in our Cocktail manufactory in Berlin / Wustermark. Only the finest ingredients make it into a kukki Cocktail—and you can taste it!
kukkis are free from artificial colors and preservatives. Thanks to selected, fresh and fruity ingredients, kukkis taste simply fantastic and need no flavor enhancers. All our Cocktails are also lactose- and gluten-free. They’re vegan, too.
