Today we are soaring high above the rooftops of Rottweil, not far from the historic city center. We are with Thomas, who has already combined two successful concepts: a rooftop bar and a beach bar.

The implementation of this concept has taken quite some time. Inquiries to the city, appointments with structural engineers, and the question of how to get a container and about 22 tons of sand onto a high-rise building.

"For up here, it's perfect. You have great cocktails that are prepared quickly. It's easy, it's clean."

Ultimately, however, Thomas and his friends were not under time pressure, as the setup took place when restaurants were not allowed to open during the lockdown. So they waited until they could finally get started, and the response was fantastic. Just two weeks later, the bar was the place to be in Rottweil.

There are about 120 deck chairs and a lounge for relaxed seating. So there is enough space to enjoy a great day with friends while taking in the best views.

When asked how Thomas became aware of kukki Cocktail, we were even surprised. Thomas has a good friend who works at a bakery that also offers kukki.

"For up here, it's perfect. You have great cocktails that are prepared quickly. It's easy, it's clean. If the weather is bad, it can happen that I don't sell any cocktails up here for a week; when the sun is shining, I might sell 100 cocktails a day."

The curiosity of the guests is also very high here when they see the glow of the toaster and are explained what they are dealing with. The feedback is consistently positive, so it is no surprise that two kukki Toaster are placed in the middle of the bar.

The day is slowly coming to an end, which for us means it's time to wrap up. There is no better way to unwind than in a beach chair with sand under your feet, a breathtaking view, and an ice-cold cocktail in hand. Cheers!
