Happy Doner in Mainz
If Sascha's heart beats for one thing, it's gastronomy. His past shows that clearly. As a former operator of two 1-star restaurants in Stuttgart, as the founder of the "Frittenlove" brand, known from the show "Die Höhle der Löwen", he has a feel for good food and trends in gastronomy.
Happy Doner in Mainz
Sascha - Founder
"There are also a lot of temporary workers who do the cash register, so the recipes are never implemented properly. If we made cocktails here ourselves, it wouldn't work."
Due to Corona and the lockdowns, Sascha had the urge to change something in his shop in Mainz. First they switched to burgers, which was well received, but did not correspond to Sascha's dream. Due to his penchant for "plant-based food", the latest concept came about after some consideration: "Happy Döner".
Not only are these doner kebabs completely vegan and the meat substitute is made from 100% natural ingredients, innovative ingredients are also included in the bread (which of course comes from a local baker). Wild herb salads, a mint-coriander-parsley mixture, cauliflower from the smoker or braised pumpkin. There are no limits for your creativity. So it is not surprising that the "Happy Döner" concept should grow as a franchise.
How well do vegan doner kebabs and cocktails go together? Very good says Sascha! Above all, the savings in ingredients and space, as well as the easy handling for untrained staff, convinces Sascha from kukki Cocktail, as he tells us:
"As you can see, this is the kitchen area. If we still had to make cocktails here ourselves; You have to have mint, all the spirits, the juices, we would never be able to do that here, if only because of the space, and also not in terms of hygiene or freshness."
Sascha hands Andy his freshly made "Happy Döner". The initial skepticism is gone after the first bite. Really tasty! Add to that a sip of ice-cold kukki cocktail and there's nothing standing in the way of a nice day in Mainz.
We know that the proof of the pudding is in the eating! So we need some more information from you.
